But they're not hanging out with Bastian.
Way back in 1984, Atreyu was saved from the Swamp of Sadness by a luckdragon named Falcor in The NeverEnding Story. This gentle giant’s adorableness helped moviegoers forget about Artax the horse having just drowned in the swamp. With Falcor’s help, Atreyu was able to do his part to save the Childlike Empress and the rest of Fantasia from “The Nothing” and Gmork.
Of course, no one cared about all that fantasy stuff, because they were too busy looking at cute Noah Hathaway playing Atreyu. While Hathaway, now 45, lost his long locks and gained tattoo sleeves, he still has that smile and charm reminiscent of his iconic character. On Monday (September 11), Hathaway made NeverEnding Story fans’ dreams come true when he shared a special pic on Instagram.
“What other girl has a pic riding Falcor with Atreyu!!” he captioned, adding heart emojis for good measure. Seriously, that is one lucky gal.

The reunion took place at Faerie Fantasy in Buenos Aires, Argentina last weekend, and the convention posted a solo pic of Hathaway riding Falcor on its own Instagram. Now we just need Bastian and the Childlike Empress there to really make this a party.
