"A reunion 20 years in the making"
We’re a year away from seeing Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reunite onscreen and battle more dinosaurs in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but there’s still some dyno-mite (sorry) news this week about the prehistoric franchise.
Vanessa Lee Chester, who played Jeff Goldblum’s daughter in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, reunited with her movie dad at the Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles on Thursday (August 31). Goldblum jammed with Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk and met up with his former co-star during the night.
Chester shared pics from the sweet reunion on Instagram. “A reunion 20 years in the making,” she captioned, playing on Jurassic Park‘s original tagline: “An adventure 65 million years in the making.” We see you, Vanessa.
When a fan commented that Goldblum “seem[ed] like a really cool guy,” Chester confirmed her co-star hadn’t changed in two decades. “He is the best!” she gushed.
While we know Goldblum is reprising his role as Dr. Ian “Sexy Chest” Malcolm in the Jurassic World sequel, fans couldn’t help but wonder if Malcolm’s daughter, Kelly, would also be returning. Chester said she’d “be beyond honored” to step into Kelly’s shoes again, yet no casting news has been announced as of this writing.
But, who knows? Maybe we’ll get a surprise cameo, because, let’s face it: Chris Pratt’s going to need badass Kelly to help save the day.
